Clean Up Dry Creek for Love Modesto
Every year on a day in April, thousands of Modestans to show their love for our city by gathering for an organized day of volunteering on a myriad of “projects” in and around Modesto.
I’m asking you to join me on a project to clean up Dry Creek. I chose this project because it needs the most volunteers of all the projects I researched! Click the link to read the prominent details, including what to wear and how to complete the City of Modesto adult liability waiver.
The Love Modesto Kickoff Party begins at 7:00AM on April 26 at the corner of I and 10th Street (in front of the Gallo Center. All volunteers are to gather here BEFORE heading to our respective projects.

9th Anniversary Celebration and Ribbon Cutting
Yes, it’s true! I’ve been sharing the love of yoga and Ayurveda for NINE YEARS! In January of 2016, I received my yoga teaching certification, started specializing in private clients, and haven’t looked back since. To mark the occasion, I’ve joined the Modesto Chamber of Commerce and we’re throwing a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. Won’t you come and help me celebrate? “Kombucha originated in Northeast China, likely in the Bohai Sea district, around 220 B.C. It was first mentioned in ancient Chinese texts, such as the Records of the Three Kingdoms, where it was described as a "divine tea" with medicinal properties.
Kombucha is a fermented tea made from sweetened tea and a culture of yeast and bacteria. It's often flavored with fruit, honey, or sugar and contains vitamins, trace minerals, antioxidants, and probiotics.

Prenatal Yoga Workshop with Andy Angel
Andy Angel is a certified prenatal yoga teacher and birth doula. Her intent is to help pregnant people with movement to prepare for birth, reduce stress, and create confidence in one’s ability to birth their baby.
In this 1.5 hour workshop, attendees will work on breathing techniques, yoga poses for hip opening, strengthening, strentghing muscles and calming the nervous system. Andy will be teaching flowing movements and explore poses that create length and flexibility in the body. The class finishes with birth art, childbirth education, and deep relaxation!
